Orbit is a tool built and operated by Pulsar Publishing for its own team. It helps the team review Google Ads accounts, write ads, and manage email campaigns. This page explains what data Orbit uses and how it is handled.
What Orbit accesses
- Google Ads data, after a team member signs in with Google and approves access: account, campaign, ad, keyword, audience and placement settings and performance numbers for the Google Ads accounts under Pulsar Publishing's manager account. Orbit asks for the Google Ads scope and for the signed-in user's email address.
- Email program data from Pulsar Publishing's own email platform accounts, such as send counts, rates and list sizes.
- The names and email addresses of team members, which are handled by our sign-in provider.
How the data is used
- To show reports and dashboards to Pulsar Publishing's team.
- To suggest changes. Orbit never changes a Google Ads account unless a team member approves that specific change.
- To write recommendations and ad copy. For this, summaries of account performance and landing page text are sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude).
Limited Use of Google data
Orbit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features described above. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train general AI models, and not read by people except as needed to operate and secure Orbit or as required by law.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a hosted database. The login token Google gives Orbit is stored encrypted. Access to Orbit is limited to signed-in members of Pulsar Publishing's organization, and what each person can see or do depends on their role. Orbit keeps a log of actions for accountability.
Sharing
Data is shared only with the service providers that run Orbit (hosting, database, sign-in, AI and email infrastructure), under their terms, and only as needed to provide Orbit. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and removal
Synced performance data is kept while Orbit is in use. Anyone can remove Orbit's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask for data to be deleted, contact us.
